In the 2012 season of The X-Factor, a trio consisting of brother Wesley and Keaton Stromberg as well as childhood friend and guitarist, Drew Chadwick entered the spotlight for the very first time. After performing an original song (Sunset Blvd.), "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls and "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" by The Police, they became an instant fan favorite and Emblem3 was a worldwide hit. The Rock/Hip-Hop/Pop ensemble was growing an organic fan base at a rapid rate.
In the summer of 2014, Emblem3 went on a hiatus after guitarist, Drew Chadwick, desired a separate solo career. The first of two hiatuses came after the band hit worldwide success through global tours and shows. A year before their first break up, the band opened for acts such as Selena Gomez.
After releasing their debut album under Simon Cowell's record label (Syco) along with Universal Studios, the band decided to take a more independent route for the future, releasing 4 EPs independently from 2014 through 2019. A rift was created within the band due to creative differences, and the band went on what would be their second hiatus.
The band reunited in 2021 and continued releasing singles independently. In 2022, the band put out 2 singles titled, 'My Year' and 'Rush'. In our opinion, these 2 songs showcase explicitly how far Emblem3 have come and their maturity definitely reflects in their music. The vocals and emotions in these songs are nothing less than relatable. The drums and guitar create a very nice concoction of rhythm and melody that forms the grounded support for the warmth and lushness of the vocals to shine through.
